Our Story

Started with one press. Built around one promise.

SGG began as a small roll-label operation serving local FMCG packers, at a time when most Indian label converters treated food, pharma, and consumer goods clients identically. We didn't. Compliance requirements, adhesive behavior, and print tolerances differ enormously across those sectors — so we built separate expertise for each, rather than one generic process stretched across all three. That decision is still the core of how we operate today, now across 100+ brands.

01

Compliance-first design

Every layout for food and pharma clients is checked against current FSSAI / regulatory formats before print — not after rejection.

02

Batch-to-batch consistency

Calibrated print processes hold color fidelity across repeat orders, so your shelf presence doesn't drift run to run.

03

15-day turnaround

In-house material stock and press capacity mean most standard orders ship within 15 days of approval.

04

Problem-first approach

If your product's moisture, temperature, or handling profile doesn't fit a standard spec, we build to it — not around it.

Anatomy of a Label

Four layers, one job: stay put and stay legible.

Face Stock

The printed surface — BOPP film, paper, or PET, chosen for durability and print clarity.

Adhesive

Permanent, removable, or freezer-grade — engineered to bond correctly with your container material.

Release Liner

The backing sheet that protects the adhesive until application, removed during labeling.

Finish Coating

Matte, gloss, or soft-touch lamination applied on top for protection and shelf feel.

Printing Processes

Three presses, three different jobs.

We run all three in-house — the right one depends on run length, color count, and how fast you need it.

FLEXOGRAPHIC

Flexo Printing

Our primary press for mid-to-high volume runs. Fast, cost-efficient at scale, and excellent for spot colors and simple to moderate designs.

BEST FOR: 10,000+ units, repeat orders
DIGITAL

Digital Printing

No plates required, so short runs and variable data (batch codes, serialization, multi-SKU jobs) are fast and economical.

BEST FOR: Short runs, prototypes, serialized labels
SCREEN

Screen Printing

Thicker, more opaque ink deposits than flexo or digital — used when a design needs bold, saturated color or a raised tactile print on tricky substrates.

BEST FOR: Bold spot colors, textured/tactile print, metallics
Finishing & Converting

What happens after printing.

Converting is where a printed sheet becomes a usable label — cut, finished, and wound to spec.

Output Formats

Same process, different final shape.

R

Roll Labels

Wound on a core for automatic application — the standard format for most FMCG and pharma lines.

S

Sheeted Labels

Flat sheets for manual application or hand-finished, low-volume premium products.

W

Wrap-Around Labels

Extended labels that cover a container's full circumference — common on bottles and jars.

Quality Control

What happens before a batch ships.

Every order passes through the same checkpoints — regardless of size — before it leaves the facility.

QC Checkpoints

EVERY BATCH
01

Incoming Material Inspection

Substrate batch, adhesive certification, and liner quality are checked before a job is scheduled onto press.

02

Color & Registration Check

A first-article proof is matched against the approved brand reference before the full run starts.

03

Adhesion & Peel Test

Bond strength is tested on the actual container material for that order, not a generic test panel.

04

Cold-Chain / Freeze-Thaw Test

Freezer-grade and dairy orders are cycle-tested through repeated freeze-thaw before dispatch approval.

05

Tamper-Evidence Verification

Pharma and cosmetic orders get a physical tamper-void test to confirm the label fails visibly if removed.

06

Final Batch Sign-off

A QA lead reviews the completed run against the original spec sheet before it's cleared to ship.
